Terms of Use
Effective October 19, 2026
These terms apply to the CardTable app (App Store name “CardTable FreePlay”) for iPhone, iPad and Mac (“CardTable”), made by Dream Tailors LLC (“we”, “us”). By using CardTable you agree to them and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which also governs the app. Where these terms and the Standard EULA differ, the Standard EULA prevails to the extent required.
1. Using CardTable
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use CardTable on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s usage rules. Don’t reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, or use it to harass others.
2. It’s free
CardTable is free to download and play. It has no ads and no in-app purchases at the time of these terms. If that changes, we’ll update these terms and show prices in the app before you buy anything.
3. An open table, not a referee
CardTable is an open card table. By default there is no rules engine: players move, flip, stack, deal and pass cards however their game needs, and are responsible for following their own rules. The optional “play by the rules” modes for built-in games are provided for convenience, and may not match every house rule or regional variant. The host sets up the table, including permissions, and mistakes are on the players.
4. Playing with others
- Tables connect players through Game Center. You need a Game Center account in good standing, and you agree to Apple’s Game Center terms.
- Be kind. Chat, voice and the scoreboard are shared with the people at your table. Don’t use them to threaten, harass or share unlawful content.
- Hosts may remove players from their tables. Don’t play for real-money stakes through the app; CardTable isn’t a gambling service and doesn’t handle money.
- Games run between players’ devices. We can’t guarantee that a table will stay connected, or that a game in progress can always be recovered.
5. Your content
What you write, say or draw at a table (chat, voice, scoreboard) stays between the players at that table and on their devices, as described in the Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for what you share with other players.
6. No warranty
CardTable is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or game progress, arising from your use of CardTable. Because the app is free, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which is zero.
8. Changes and ending
We may update CardTable and these terms. We’ll post changes on this page with a new effective date; continuing to use the app means you accept them. You can stop using CardTable at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
